The IPV4 S is an upgraded version of the very successful IPV4 that features real improvements, not just cosmetic changes - the "S" is there for a reason. The first upgrade is, of course, the increased power output level. The IPV4 pushed 100W, the IPV4 S delivers 120W. Another improvement is about temperature control - with the IPV4 S, you can TC vape with titanium coils (all the way up to 100 joules). You can also vape with nickel and Kanthal wire coils. The chipset has also been upgraded from the YiHi SX330 v4S to the YiHi SX330 v4SN chip.

Another difference between the IPV4 and IPV4 S is the fact that the charging board has been removed for additional safety. The micro USB port on the IPV4 S is only for firmware upgrades, you can't charge through it. This means the 18650 batteries used in the IPV4 S need to be charged externally. Also, the tinted mirror screen has been changed to an easier to read, bright and clear screen. These are the main technical and mechanical changes in the IPV4 S; other aspects remain the same.
